Lucinda Hunnicutt, Loucinda Hunnicutt

These 3 pictures  are all I have of my great grandmother Lucinda. The first picture is of her as the mom with her 3 girls at the time: Ollie, Hazel and Edith abt 1905. The second is of her abt 1930. The last is her death certificate, she died in St. Bernice April 11, 1940. Lucinda was born 15 September 1875 to her parents Robert Honeycutt and Nancy A. Miller in Elizabethton, Tennessee. She was one of 12 children-they are as follows:
Lucinda, Sam, Tom, Frank(b.1892), Bill, Matt, Jane, Nathaniel, twins that died @birth, Nell, Rufus. At the time of her death, she was survived by her husband, Melvin, her daughters: Ollie, Edith and Genevive, her brothers: Tom, Frank, and Sam.

Lucinda married Melvin Hunter Phillips 14 January 1898 in Unicoi, Tennessee.

A favorite story of my mother's  as she lived with Lucinda her grandma ( she called her Mom Mom) was sitting outside on the back steps of the house eating strawberries from the garden while Mom Mom took laundry off the clothesline.

If anyone has additional stories -I would love to hear them or I'd love to see additional pictures and post them here!
